Link routes to the start of the Dales Way.
Whereas the Dales Way starts at the Old Bridge in Ilkley, it
can be extended by one of three Link Routes.

Bradford
Starts at
the gates of Bradford Cathedral in Bradford Forster Square.
Length approx 12.5 miles (20 km).
Follows Bradford Dale through some gritty inner city
sections and some surprising green corridors to Shipley.After a stretch along the canal, the Link then climbs through Shipley Glen before crossing Ilkley Moor.

Leeds
The official Link Route commences at Woodhouse Moor and leads by the Meanwood Valley, Eccup Reservoir and over the Otley Chevin.
Distance 17 miles (27.4 km).

An alternative route would be to follow the Leeds & Liverpool canal
all the way from near Leeds station to where the Bradford Link joins

Harrogate
This runs by Haverah Park, the
Washburn Valley, Timble, Lippersley Ridge and Middleton
into Ilkley.
